It's a day when individuals of all ages publicly declare their faith in Jesus Christ and their commitment to follow Him. Baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation—it symbolizes the believer’s identification with Jesus in His death, burial, and resurrection. It’s not what saves a person, but it is a step of obedience that reflects a life changed by the gospel. During the service, those being baptized share a bit of their story and are baptized by immersion, surrounded by the cheers and support of our church family. It’s a moment filled with celebration, tears, and worship as we witness firsthand the power of God's grace in action. Whether you’re taking this step yourself or celebrating someone else, Baptism Sunday is a reminder that Jesus is still changing lives—and we get to be part of it.

Parent Dedication is a meaningful moment in the life of our church where parents publicly commit to raising their child in a Christ-centered home. It’s not about the child’s salvation, but rather about the parents’ intentional decision to lead their family in faith and invite the support of their church community. During the service, parents are invited on stage with their child(ren) to be prayed over and encouraged. They affirm their commitment to model the love and truth of Jesus in their home, while the congregation also pledges to support, encourage, and walk alongside them as a spiritual family. Parent Dedication is a beautiful picture of partnership between parents and the church—reminding us all that raising the next generation of Christ-followers is a team effort. Whether you're a first-time parent or expanding your family, this is a special milestone where we celebrate your role and God’s purpose for your family.

We were made to belong. We each have a longing and void that can only be filled when we experience community. In the New Testament we see the followers of Jesus living in close fellowship, generously sharing what they had, and eagerly serving one another. It was a beautiful picture of the community that God has designed for us to experience. We dream of a church where everyone can experience that kind of belonging, support and spiritual growth in community groups. We envision a time when there is a Community Group in every neighborhood in Fort Worth, so that every person in our city would live within walking distance of a group of people who love God, love each other, and love their neighbors. So whether you are interested in joining a group, or would be willing to host a group, we would love to connect and help you find that place to belong here at Doxology.
